A life with chocolate
My name is Karina, and I am the woman behind Fanø Chokolade. For me, chocolate is more than a sweet temptation – it is a craft, a passion and a creative play with flavours, colours and shapes.
It all began as a hobby, but today I make a living creating unique little taste experiences that delight both the eye and the palate. In my café by Fanø Bad, I welcome guests to my chocolate world, where quality and personality are always central.

My journey
I began making chocolate at home in my own kitchen – mostly for fun and out of curiosity. It soon became more than a hobby: I discovered how much I loved exploring flavours and creative expression.
The first steps
I took the leap and became self-employed full-time. Fanø Chokolade officially became a business, and I began selling my filled chocolates and other treats at local markets and selected shops.
I began training as a chocolatier to develop my craft and learn more about ingredients, techniques and flavours. As demand grew, I dreamed of a permanent space combining production and a café.

The café opens
In May, I opened my shop and café on Strandvejen by Fanø Bad. Here guests can watch chocolate being made, taste my latest creations and enjoy coffee, cake or seasonal treats in cosy surroundings.
To me, the café is more than a place to buy chocolate – it is a meeting place where I can share my passion.

Fanø Chokolade has received EU funding for a new chocolate tempering machine. As part of relocating and expanding production, Fanø Chokolade was granted support for the machine.
It has made chocolate production more efficient, allowing us to meet the need to produce more chocolate.
